The before-and-after effect speaks for itself
The renovation of the approximately 5,000 m² underground parking garage at the Berliner Bogen, a heavily trafficked commercial property in the heart of Hamburg, placed high demands on materials, logistics, and time management. The client required minimal closure periods, a visually high-quality result, and maximum durability—all while ensuring the property remained fully operational during the final construction phase, which involved coating the entrance area. In addition, a stormwater overflow basin located beneath the garage required special care during concrete repair and waterproofing.
The recommendation for parking coatings
EPOWIT Bautechnik recommended VIACOR’s OS-10 system, VIASOL DECK M rapid, since alternative products on the market would have required significantly more complex procedures. The goal was to preserve the building’s structure over the long term, particularly through a highly durable and fast-curing coating.
The particular challenge: complete restoration (concrete repair, coating, painting, and marking) despite high user traffic.
Thanks to the Rapid system, which further accelerated the process, the final phase of the renovation of the 400 m² entrance area was completed over a single weekend—a decisive advantage for the operator.
