Big Wave pit stop – 600,000 litres of water a day
A car wash processes up to 1,000 cars a day and for each 600 litres of water are necessary. In addition, high-pressure cleaners shoot this water with 120 bar on everything that is within this car wash. A hard daily workload – car by car and one high-pressure wash after another. And all kinds of footwear are taking its toll on the car wash at full blast.

Nobody driving into a car wash thinks about the floor on which he is standing. In the end it’s all about the car and its cleanliness. But it’s the flooring that has to withstand a lot. Oil, gasoline, diesel, de-icing salt, suds as well as other chemicals affect the coating during every cycle. Despite this enormous strain, of course, nothing is allowed to enter the soil. All liquids must be discharged into the appropriate receptacles. These are high demands placed on the coating system.
At the car wash Oskar Ruff & Co. OHG in Esslingen, CBL Chemobau coated both the fully automatic roadways and the SB Clean Park using with the system VIASOLDECK rapid. This waterproofing system of VIACOR Polymer GmbH is fast-curing at low temperatures as well as highly resistant to abrasions und chemicals. A separate wear coat ensures a very good slip resistance, which is absolutely necessary for a (self-service) car wash to prevent injuries. This allows pedestrians and staff to move safely about in the car wash. The system VIASOLDECK rapid complies with DIN EN 1504-2 and DIN V 18026, class OS 11a (OS Fa) and RILI SIB 2001, class OS10 as a drivable waterproofing and is therefore ideally suited for any car wash.
The highly reactive spray membrane, which is applied using a special 2-component hot spray machine, enables a seamless connection of the flooring and the wall as well as other installation parts..
A further advantage is the fast reaction time that makes it possible to coat vertical surfaces easily and also allows applying a higher layer thickness in order to create a functioning sealing. The dynamic crack bridging system VIASOLDECK rapid is proven for class B4.2 at -20°C.
